Lamonts Bishops house and Como the Treasury wedding

Nikola and Michaels wedding day was so full of love and laughter, I had the very best time with them! I photographed Nikola and Michael’s wedding at Como the Treasury and Lamonts bishops house in Perth using a mix of 120mm film and digital. It was the perfect day for shooting film; the afternoon lighting was beautiful and soft, perfect for film. The day started off at Como the treasury for hair and makeup by the wonderful Connor Adams. Their ceremony was held at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Saints Constantine and Helene, a beautiful Greek church in Perth. Their portraits were then back at The State buildings inside Como the Treasury on the balcony and in the rooms. Their reception was held at Lamonts Bishops house where they joined their guests for cocktail hour, they then snuck away for five minutes of photo’s at sunset and then joined everyone for their sit down dinner reception.

We started the day getting ready inside The state buildings at Como the treasury! Once of my favourite spots in Perth for bridal prep because the rooms are large, bright and total luxury. The staff are incredible and everything goes off without at hitch.

The Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Saints Constantine and Helene is one of my favourite churches in Perth to photograph in. It is absolutely beautiful in every corner. Nikki and Michael’s portraits were inside and around Como the treasury and Post and then in the gardens at sunset at Lamonts bishops house. They really wanted to join their guests for cocktail hour so we snuck away for 5 minutes to grab some sunset photos. Im so glad we did because the results were incredible. I used a combination of 120mm film and digital photography to photograph their bridal portrait’s.

Lamonts Bishops house is an incredible wedding venue. The service is without fault every time I’m there and I couldn’t recommend them enough! Nikola and Michael had photo’s in the gardens and then a sit down wedding reception with beautiful long tables made so beautiful by Poppy’s flowers, surrounded by their nearest and dearest. There was lots of laughter and tears as you can see in the images and then we kicked off the Greek dancing with the Kalamatianos and the Syrtos.

Nikola Estate wedding- Sara and Cam

Sara and Cam’s wedding day was one I wont forget. Filled with so much love and laughter. Isaac and I had such a blast photographing and videoing their day at Nikola estate! It was such an easy going day and absolutely stunningly styled in all ways from their ceremony all the way through to their reception. Their beautiful and classic florals was by the wonderful Katie Cooper florals; always creating an absolute master piece. Their ceremony was in the white chapel in the Nikola estate vineyard and reception in the new pavilion room.

Kind words from Sara- “I am literally obsessed with them all- thank you!! And I cry every time I watch it! You’ve done such a great job capturing the day and all the feels. Thank you for everything”

We were lucky enough to have Amelia and her husband Isaac as our photographer and videographer for our wedding in October last year. From day one I felt so comfortable with Amelia, her communication and support during the planning process was amazing. She made us feel comfortable and confident and we could not be more obsessed with our photos and video!
On the day Amelia was so onto everything, understood exactly what we were hoping for and was able to make everything happen. She got all our photos and video to us so quickly, couldn’t recommend them as a duo enough, thank you guys 🤍

Nikola Estate has quickly become a favourite Wedding venue in Perth for me. There are so many lovely little spots around the venue, under the jacaranda's, the vineyards, the gardens; all so beautiful for photos making it so easy to capture couples and its extra easy when you dont have to leave the venue for the photos in between.

Sara and Cam’s ceremony was held in the Chapel at Nikola Estate and was made even more stunning by Katie Cooper’s florals lining the alter.

Perth wedding at the WA Museum Boola Bardip

Fontini and Callum’s wedding day was the most beautiful greek wedding in Perth. They worked back to back in the same office for 6 months before either made a move and the rest was history. I photographed using film and digital photography, something I do for every wedding I photograph. It was a wildly hot Australian February afternoon (40 degrees plus) so I count us extremely lucky the only time we were in the crazy heat was during their bridal party photos at Hyde park which we quickly shot before we were all a hot mess. Their ceremony was held at the stunning Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Saints Constantine and Helen and reception inside the WA Museum Boola Bardip.

I photograph every wedding with a mix of film and digital photography, I love the beautiful colours and timeless feel of film but also the reliability of digital, together they’re a perfect combo!

Andonia and Jules Greek wedding at Royal Freshwater bay

It was the most beautiful greek wedding for Andonia and Jules; full of love, tradition and sentiment. They found so many ways to merge their culture and remember their loved ones. Andonia and Jules decided to marry in the same church as their parents and grandparents; the stefana crowns they wore in the ceremony were first worn by their grandparents and the olive trees in their reception at Fresh water bay Yacht club in Perth were from Andonia’s Pappous’ farm; all ways to remember loved ones who are no longer here and to remember their greek culture.

The wonderful Lara from White events planned and styled their day and along with so many wonderful vendors including Natural art flowers, Hire society, Micktric events lighting, Creative line and co, plus many more made this wedding day a day never to forget! Their vision was bringing Andonia’s Greek hometown of Ithaca to us and boy did White events deliver. From the beautiful olive trees covering the roof which were from Andonia’s Papous farm to the beautiful seating chart written on greek pots; this wedding reception makes me want to jet off and stay in the Greek isles forever!

Andonia’s wedding video was filmed by us! I photographed their wedding using a mix of film and digital photography and Isaac videoed their day; you can watch their full wedding video below!

The boys got ready at a beautiful airbnb in Cottesloe and the girls at Andonia’s family home down the road. Having the getting ready photographed is such a lovely way to capture your family and bridal party before the day really kicks off.

Every part of Andonia and Jules’ wedding day was so beautiful and sentimental; I loved that at every turn they were remembering their family and culture. Their ceremony was held at the same Greek Orthodox Cathedral as Andonia’s parents and grand parents, and they used the same crowns as her grandparents. Their bridal photos were at Cottesloe Civic centre, where they would spend many many evenings together over the years they have been together.

The vision given to White Events was ‘bring Ithaca to us” and thats exactly what they did! From the olive trees which were sourced from Andonia’s Papous’ farm to the seating chart written on greek pots, the olive oil given to guests, and the greek musicians; this wedding reception was a beautiful representation of Andonia’s greek heritage and to be honest makes me want to run away and live on a greek island!
