I have been a family photographer in Perth for over a decade. I am a lover of natural moments- bumps, babies and beyond! I love to photograph Perth families, couples, maternity, newborns, christenings and more. Each stage of your life is important and I am honoured to be able capture those moments. Friendship
I never feel like my clients are clients. By the end, you are all friends. I am constantly blown away by how like-minded my clients are. It’s a reason why so many of you come back year after year and tell all of your friends… it just feels like a big circle of friendship and it’s exactly what I always hoped it would be.
Locations?
I will absolutely guide you along this process. I have a wonderful list of tried and tested locations across Perth which I will send you. It’s so hard to know what to look for in good shoot locations, but lucky for you – I’ve been around ;) So you don’t have to worry.
What should we wear?
Wear neutrals or earthy tones. This is not a hard and fast rule but theres nothing worse than looking fab and then realising the outfit you chose clashes with your partners or kids. If you choose neutral colours and outfits that don’t have any crazy patterns then you cant go wrong.
When is the best time to book our maternity photography session?
Anywhere from 32-40 weeks is the best time to book in your bump maternity session, I usually like to book at 36 weeks weeks as this gives us time to rebook if the weather is bad without worrying about missing the boat.
When is the best time of day for our photography session?
Right at sunset or sunrise is the best time to capture your photography session! The light is softer and makes skin tones much more beautiful!
Do you give us direction?
Ill give you plenty of gentle direction so dont worry about that part, just come and bring yourself and your good vibes. If im not saying anything its because youre nailing it, we want natural and organic images but the process of getting there requires some gentle direction so we get the pretties images with the best angles and light. Have fun and enjoy this time with your family. If you are authentic and having fun we will get images that reflect that.
Do you have any tips for my Newborn session?
I love to photograph in my beautiful clients homes across Perth using whatever corners with natural light we can find.
Newborn photography sessions can be booked anywhere between 1 day and 1 year! For the fresh newborn look its best to have your session within three weeks of birth.
Here’s a few things you can do to help your newborn photoshoot run smoothly:
Feed right before your session and feed, change or comfort whenever you need to during the session. I allow an hour and a half, sometimes more for these sessions.
Make sure you have a warm room. Babies start to fuss when they get cold so make sure you’ve got that heater set to a nice temperature.
Pop some white sheets on your master bed if you have any. If the lighting is working, we will use this room for images of your newborn and also the whole family.
Do you have a client wardrobe?
I currently have a selection of newborn bloomers and wraps which I bring along with me upon request to newborn sessions.
